David Cross says he isn't racist but was playing a "asshole racist southern character"

David Cross has issued a sort of statement on twitter regarding the comments from Charlyne Yi that he was racist towards her whent hey met a decade ago at a hotel bar in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He ends the tweet with "I truly hope, and I mean this from the bottom of my soul, that this happens to you too. Maybe then you won't be so quick to judge. But...probably not."
