Aspiring country superstar Shawn Mendes' sexuality is once again the talk of the internet. Apparently, someone (probably fka lbr tbh) doctored what appeared to be a tweet in which Mendes' official Twitter account announced the singer is "gay" and "proud."



The fake image shook Mendes' fans on Twitter, with #ShawnComingOut trending for a while. The talk in the hashtag turned to protecting the singer and his privacy, after his his loyal subjects realized the image was a forgery.

Y'all may recall Mendes proudly proclaimed that he is "NOT GAY" on Snapchat in July 2016.
