AMC Doesn't Recognize the Lead Character on their #1 Show

AMC posted a photo to their official Twitter account today of Andrew Lincoln, who plays lead character Rick Grimes on their top hit show The Walking Dead, along with Seth Gilliam, who plays Father Gabriel.

But they captioned the photo with the words "New chapter, same badass. Daryl is ready for season 8!"

Daryl, of course, the supporting character played by Norman Reedus. While he is generally considered the show's most popular character, it's hard to see how AMC could have confused him with Lincoln (for those who don't watch the show, this is Reedus on the left and Lincoln on the right):


18-year-old Chandler Riggs, who plays Rick's son Carl, retweeted AMC's gaffe with the caption "Whoa! Daryl looks so awesome!" AMC subsequently deleted the tweet, but fortunately Riggs had screenshotted it and wasn't going to let them get away with that:
