Nike attempts to use #science to break the 2-hour marathon record

A sub-2 hour marathon attempt is currently underway at Monza stadium in Italy.

Lelisa Desisa, Eliud Kipchoge and Zersenay Tadese (supported by a group of around 18 pacemakers) are attempting to break the world record that currently sits at 2:02:57. This enormous feat has been sponsored by Nike and has involved a team of scientists advising about the best location, pacing, clothing and techniques. More details about the science here.
