‘Firestarter’ Remake Announced By Blumhouse With Akiva Goldsman Directing

Akiva Goldsman and Jason Blum have announced that they would be making a new version of Stephen King's 'Firestarter'.

The original novel centered around a girl who develops pyrokinesis and is hunted by a government agency who want to use her for their own ends. The original film in 1984 starred Drew Barrymore, David Keith, Martin Sheen, and George C. Scott (the latter playing the role of a character that was a Native American in the book).
